Description

  • Conduct applied social science research related to personnel security and financial risk indicators.
  • Support qualitative and quantitative research activities, including stakeholder interviews, literature reviews, and data collection.
  • Analyze datasets using SPSS and/or other statistical analysis software and interpret research findings.
  • Draft technical reports, APA-style research documents, briefing materials, and meeting summaries.
  • Help develop and execute systematic research methodologies and analytical frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior economists to evaluate and interpret statistical findings.
  • Synthesize input from SMEs, adjudicators, and policy stakeholders into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Provide analytical support for program evaluations, policy analysis, and decision-making initiatives.
  • Travel locally within the DMV region as needed for meetings, research activities, and stakeholder engagements.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant social science field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in social science or behavioral research.
  • Prior experience supporting research initiatives in a DoD or Federal Government environment strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with personnel security processes strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative research using tools such as SPSS.
  • Strong writing skills with experience drafting reports, summaries, or APA-style documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
