Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Product Quality and Field Quality team.
  • Deploy Field Quality resources to supplier, warehouse, and co-manufacturer facility reviews.
  • Manage food safety and quality risks, gaps, and opportunities across products, processes, and systems.
  • Deploy Quality Assurance programs across co-manufacturing partners and functional teams.
  • Partner with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, and Operations to support product commercialization and continuous quality improvement.
  • Oversee product launches, trials, process baselines, quality attributes, and process compliance.
  • Lead investigations of plant, distribution, customer, and consumer quality incidents; identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage onboarding of co-manufacturing partners, products, equipment, packaging start-ups, and commissioning activities.
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System, including supplier approval, audits, FSMA, HARPC, product development, and Cost of Quality programs.
  • Define and report quality KPIs, conduct risk assessments, refine specifications, and direct continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related scientific discipline.
  • 7+ years of food industry experience; CPG experience preferred.
  • Prior leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
  • PCQI and/or HACCP certification.
  • Plant production experience and strong knowledge of product processing.
  • Expertise in food safety, regulatory, quality systems, standards, and policies.
  • Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and process capability studies.
  • Strong cross-functional influence, business partnering, communication, judgment, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coach and develop talent, and align enterprise-wide quality objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
  • Previous sustainability and operations experience preferred.
  • Up to 40% travel to co-manufacturing partner locations and company gatherings.
  • Must reside in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

  • Salary range of $140,000–$150,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus and potential additional compensation.
