Description

  • Prepare scope and fee packages, proposals, and technical reports.
  • Lead permitting efforts at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Provide technical oversight and review project deliverables.
  • Interpret regulations to guide project design and identify permitting strategies.
  • Coordinate permit applications and project tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Manage projects and teams with day-to-day oversight and clear communication.
  • Coordinate fieldwork, reporting, and technical documentation.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, contractors, regulators, and the public.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff.
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, and schedules to support successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, biology, ecology, soils, environmental science, environmental policy, natural resource management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in NEPA, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
  • Experience with NEPA planning and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Clean Water Act Section 404/10.
  • Experience with wetlands and natural resource field investigations.
  • Knowledge of federal land special use permits (SF299), local and state regulations, and USFWS Endangered Species Act consultation.
  • Hands-on experience interpreting site plans, topographic maps, aerial photographs, and mapping resources.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well on a team.
  • Self-direction, dependability, and strong follow-through on deadlines and deliverables.
