Description

  • Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and stakeholders.
  • Deliver executive-level messaging, technical discovery sessions, and strategic discussions aligned to customer business outcomes.
  • Lead customized demonstrations, architectural sessions, and outcome-focused proofs of concept for Okta Device Access and Identity Threat Protection.
  • Develop customer-centric solution content that maps Okta capabilities to customer problems across business units.
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and Auth0.
  • Collaborate with the Office of the Field CTO to gather field insights, validate customer needs, and identify recurring product trends.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.
  • Contribute frameworks, tools, and content that help Solutions Engineering teams execute effectively.
  • Partner with sales leadership, Enablement, and Field CTO teams on regional events, product messaging, and global initiatives.
  • Represent Okta as a thought leader and help influence industry standards and technical advisory boards.

Requirements

  • Expert-level understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID) or similar, including GPOs, Kerberos, and OIDC/SAML protocols.
  • Proficiency with multiple identity providers such as Okta, Ping Identity, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience managing hybrid identity synchronization between on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of FIDO2/WebAuthn, Passkeys, and passwordless authentication strategies such as Okta FastPass.
  • Strong understanding of Desktop MFA, device registration, MDM/UEM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, and Workspace ONE, and EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike.
  • Familiarity with certificate-based authentication and PKI.
  • Thorough understanding of identity attack vectors including phishing, token theft, MFA bypass techniques, and lateral movement.
  • Experience with UEBA and integrating identity platforms with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sentinel and SOAR tools for automated response.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience contributing to technical events.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.
  • Remote position.
  • Preferred: experience with Okta Threat Protection, other ITDR vendors, or device access solutions.
  • Preferred: certification such as CIDPRO, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM.
  • Preferred: scripting or automation skills such as Python or PowerShell for security integrations.

Benefits

  • Annual OTE of $215,000–$323,000 USD for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • Annual OTE of $192,000–$288,000 USD for candidates in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
