Description

  • Research and interpret NRC and EPA regulations, regulatory precedents, and other applicable requirements.
  • Generate, refine, and review licensing documentation and applications.
  • Support the management of deliverables for internal and external regulatory activities.
  • Interface with technical staff and review technical material.
  • Analyze regulatory documents to identify key issues and requirements.
  • Contribute technical reports for submission to regulators and other outside bodies.
  • Provide design engineering support, including technical feedback to iterative design teams.
  • Document engineering work using modern tools and techniques.
  • Write clear, thoughtful technical reports and other written materials.

Requirements

  • Experience generating, contributing to, or evaluating NRC license applications or amendments.
  • Experience in a technical field.
  • Preferred: experience with fuel fabrication or fuel cycle facilities in commercial or DOE settings.
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly in an active voice.
  • Comfort working collaboratively across disciplines and contributing as a team player.
  • Interest in clean energy, nuclear fuel recycling, and advanced fission.
  • Willingness to travel to Santa Clara, CA headquarters twice per quarter for remote employees, plus an in-person onboarding period of the first two weeks.
  • Candidates may be subject to a drug screening, and employees may be subject to drug testing in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
