Description

  • Own backend services and the cryptographic recovery and trust-model systems that support ZeroDev’s embedded wallets.
  • Build Go services that broker wallet creation, authentication, and signing at scale.
  • Design and implement key recovery mechanisms and distributed trust models using committee-based key splitting and secret sharing.
  • Work with trusted execution environments to reconstruct and operate on key material under hardware isolation and remote attestation.
  • Integrate user authentication and signing flows such as passkeys, OAuth, OTP, sessions, and 2FA.
  • Integrate with third-party signing providers, including authorization, policy flows, scoped credentials, and quorum-based approvals.
  • Write design docs and decision records, and partner directly with external security auditors on reviews and remediation.
  • Harden security-critical systems and ship code that meets a high review bar.
  • Operate production services on Kubernetes, including observability, alerting, secrets and certificate management, and on-call support.
  • Apply required compliance controls such as sanctions screening and PII-safe handling.

Requirements

  • Strong backend engineering experience shipping and operating production services in Go, or another adjacent systems language with willingness to go deep in Go.
  • Security-first mindset with the ability to reason about threat models, blast radius, and key custody.
  • Applied cryptography fundamentals, including public-key cryptography, signatures, and key management.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and API design, including idempotency, failure modes, and service boundaries.
  • Operational experience with Kubernetes, observability, and incident response.
  • Clear written communication skills for design docs and decision records.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, review-heavy environment.
  • TEE experience with AWS Nitro Enclaves, Intel SGX/TDX, or similar, including attestation and enclave key handling, is preferred.
  • Threshold cryptography or MPC experience, such as DKG, FROST, verifiable secret sharing, or resharing, is preferred.
  • Account abstraction experience with ERC-4337, EIP-7702, or embedded/non-custodial wallets is preferred.
  • Experience integrating with custody or signing providers such as Turnkey or Fireblocks, or having built one, is preferred.
  • HSM, YubiKey, PIV, or secure-element integration experience is preferred.
  • Experience receiving and remediating findings from a third-party security audit is preferred.
  • Experience with WebAuthn/passkeys, OAuth/OIDC, and the Go crypto ecosystem is preferred.
