Description

Work on the core infrastructure powering Arbitrum within the Nitro Backend team.
Tackle complex distributed systems challenges in a blockchain infrastructure environment.
Optimize backend performance to support scalability and reliability.
Contribute to the security of Arbitrum’s infrastructure and codebase.
Collaborate closely with research, product, and blockchain engineering teams.
Build and improve systems alongside experienced engineers across the Ethereum ecosystem.
Use rigorous experimentation to solve complex technical problems.
Help out beyond immediate day-to-day responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

Extensive production experience with a programming language that supports concurrency, such as Go, C++, or Rust.
Strong ownership mindset and ability to solve complex problems through rigorous experimentation.
Demonstrated ability to stay current with new technologies.
Open, transparent, and direct communication style with experience collaborating closely with teammates.
Openness to feedback, new ideas, and self-improvement.
History of making significant contributions to products you have worked on.
Security-focused mindset with attention to potential threats and vulnerabilities in code.
Familiarity with WebAssembly, especially writing high-performance, high-security code in production environments (nice to have).
Interest in, curiosity about, or experience working with blockchain technology (nice to have).
Experience working with compilers, architecting systems, and developing SDKs (nice to have).
