Description

  • Research and train fast, high-quality state-of-the-art text-to-speech models for realistic and emotional voice generation.
  • Maintain the current best text-to-speech model by combining the strongest experimental results into a single speech production system.
  • Evaluate model performance and output quality to ensure the system meets production standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the TTS research team on model development and iteration.
  • Work with product engineering and platform teams to support smooth deployment of speech models.
  • Support model deployment considerations such as formats, quantization, hardware requirements, logging, and tracking.

Requirements

  • Experience working with machine learning models in production, including model formats, quantization, deployment, hardware requirements, and model logging/tracking.
  • Proficiency in Python and key machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience training text-to-speech or voice cloning models is nice to have.
  • Understanding of human speech and audio processing is nice to have.
  • Knowledge of transformers, diffusion models, and GANs is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with modern speech synthesis approaches such as GPT-based models and flow matching is nice to have.
  • Experience with models such as Vevo, StyleTTS, IndexTTS, or MaskGCT is nice to have.
  • Contributions to open-source AI tools are nice to have.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers is nice to have.
