Description

  • Lead brand, identity, and creative campaign development across institutional rebranding, advancement, athletic, and enrollment initiatives.
  • Direct video and photo productions from concept through post-production, including storyboarding, on-site direction, and production logistics.
  • Manage location-based shoot needs such as schedules, permits, talent releases, and location releases.
  • Lead internal reviews, client preview sessions, and final production for creative campaigns and experiences.
  • Research design trends, cultural shifts, and competitor activity and translate insights into creative strategies.
  • Use modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve throughput and expand creative possibilities.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire designers, art directors, and video producers through feedback and career development support.
  • Establish and refine team workflows, processes, and production pipelines to support efficient creative operations.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners, editors, copywriters, strategists, media managers, and client stakeholders to align on scope and requirements.
  • Present concepts, campaigns, and proposals to partner institutions and serve as a senior creative voice in meetings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with higher education experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a design team, preferably at an agency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
  • Understanding of higher education recruitment and marketing best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with English fluency.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Must reside in the continental United States and be legally authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • Must be located within close proximity to a major airport and able to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, organized workspace for camera-on partner meetings.
  • Availability from 9am–5pm, with some flexibility based on time zone.
  • Experience working with nonprofit and/or education organizations is a bonus.
  • Experience managing video vendors or freelance crews is a bonus.
  • Experience working with a small team is a bonus.
