Description

  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and modeling opportunities.
  • Clean, preprocess, and transform data from multiple sources for model development.
  • Design, build, and evaluate statistical and machine learning models, including recommendation and predictive systems.
  • Perform feature engineering, model training, and model validation using appropriate evaluation metrics.
  • Optimize models to improve accuracy, reduce bias or overfitting, and increase algorithm efficiency.
  • Test and validate models rigorously to ensure accuracy, robustness, and reliability.
  • Monitor model performance and continuously refine models as new data and business needs evolve.
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop systems that personalize consumer experience and drive customer engagement.
  • Stay current with advances in data science, machine learning, and recommendation systems and apply them to business challenges.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional setting deploying models.
  • Strong experience building and deploying predictive models and recommendation systems into production.
  • Deep experience with machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and ensemble methods.
  • Familiarity with decision trees, random forests, boosted trees, and regularized regression.
  • Experience with match-propensity models, embedding-based models, cold-start handling, calibration/post-processing, and integrating models into ad-tech workflows and business logic.
  • Strong background in statistics and mathematics, including linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, with experience using NumPy, Pandas, or SciPy for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Ad-tech experience is required, including media/advertising platforms, demand-side platforms, supply-side platforms, or retail-media networks.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
