Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of cloud-native database security solutions using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Own solutions end to end from architecture and deployment through ongoing operations.
  • Partner with OCI engineering teams to influence product direction based on customer requirements.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in database security for customer engagements and internal initiatives.
  • Support strategic customer work, including pre-sales architecture, solution positioning, and technical advisory.
  • Improve existing security offerings through automation, optimization, and innovation.
  • Advocate for security best practices aligned with standards such as NIST, ISO, and PCI.
  • Operate within a DevSecOps model to support secure adoption of cloud database technologies.
  • Stay current on cloud and database security trends to keep Oracle solutions competitive.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in database security, cloud security, or related fields.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database security technologies, with experience in at least two of: Database Vault, Audit Vault & Database Firewall, SQL Firewall, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Data Safe, Data Masking, Oracle Key Vault, Database Auditing, or DBSAT.
  • Hands-on experience designing and securing solutions in OCI, preferred, or AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of security architecture, encryption, and network security principles.
  • Experience supporting cloud migrations with a focus on security.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, PL/SQL, or APEX.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Oracle AI Database 26ai and OCI AI capabilities, preferred.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or FedRAMP, preferred.
  • Experience with containerized and distributed systems such as Kubernetes, Kafka, or microservices, preferred.
  • Background in automation and DevOps/DevSecOps practices, preferred.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, GIAC, or CISA, preferred.
  • Experience across multiple cloud providers, preferred.
