Description

  • Own a sales territory and manage the full lifecycle of each sale.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers at the school level.
  • Sell Newsela’s suite of products to schools in your territory.
  • Achieve revenue targets as an individual contributor on a national sales team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support growth of the sales organization.
  • Drive expansion and adoption of Newsela products in K-12 classrooms nationwide.
  • Stay current on territory funding, state initiatives, demographics, and the K-12 education landscape.
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and day-to-day sales operations.
  • Move opportunities quickly through the sales cycle and close deals efficiently.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience hitting or exceeding quota in SaaS sales.
  • K-12 EdTech experience is highly preferred.
  • Background in education, such as former teacher experience, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogy and classroom challenges is a plus.
  • Experience navigating multiple stakeholders to reach the right solution for each customer.
  • Proven success in high-volume, transactional sales and building a book of business.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.
  • This is an exempt salaried role and is not eligible for overtime.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $60,000 to $62,500 depending on experience.
  • On-target commission of $62,500 and on-target earnings of $122,500 to $125,000.
