Description

  • Design, build, and maintain software platform components for attendance analytics, process management, and family communication tools.
  • Maintain and improve student and attendance data systems so they remain performant and scalable as data volumes grow.
  • Develop new product features that improve capabilities and support better outcomes for schools and students.
  • Automate operational and monitoring processes to improve reliability and scalability.
  • Optimize AWS infrastructure to improve performance, efficiency, and system resilience.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and help shape practical, scalable solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product needs into technical solutions and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in scalable backend systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in a core stack or similar technologies.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and tools such as Terraform, ECS, RDS/Aurora, SES, and messaging systems like SQS/SNS.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering high-quality work on time.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts, trade-offs, and decisions to different stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous and evolving environments with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Experience collaborating across teams to drive alignment, communicate progress, and deliver shared goals.
  • Experience working across multiple areas of the stack in broad-scope environments.
  • Experience in education or education technology is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is required.
