Description

  • Drive the design, development, and enhancement of core features and functionalities of the observability platform to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by guiding and mentoring a team of software engineers to achieve technical excellence and deliver high-quality code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, stakeholders) to translate business requirements into technical solutions and advocate for best practices.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient systems that meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, apply optimizations, and maintain platform stability and availability.
  • Research and experiment with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve the observability platform.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, improvement, and innovation within the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software development, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a software engineer using Java and/or Go.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software systems using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor software engineers and ensure delivery of high-quality code.
  • Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and related technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP, serverless), containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to present ideas and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Passion for exploring new technologies and staying current with advancements in observability and related domains.
  • Preferred: contributions to open source projects, experience with GraphQL schemas, building/maintaining high-throughput pipelines and distributed systems, or prior experience on an observability product (especially in the SaaS vendor space).
