Description

Design, build, and run web products end-to-end with full-stack ownership, from implementation through operations.
Collaborate with Product and Design to create fast, elegant, and responsive user interfaces and feature flows (e.g., class discovery).
Integrate generative AI into real-time classroom experiences and other product features to improve learning outcomes.
Write performant, maintainable, and well-documented code following object-oriented design principles.
Write and maintain automated tests to validate correctness and ensure quality.
Deploy and operate large-scale web applications using CI/CD practices and participate in the team on-call rotation.
Iterate on features with a focus on accessibility, performance, and SEO improvements.
Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-moving team while continuously learning and applying new tools and techniques.

Requirements

Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience with a core object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
Experience with CI/CD and deployment systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy).
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., RDS, Lambda, EC2) and services-oriented architectures.
Familiarity with Linux and command-line tooling.
Experience developing websites with thousands of daily visitors and improving SEO performance.
Demonstrated experience using AI-native/agentic coding tools to accelerate development (examples: Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Grok, n8n, Vercel, Supabase, Netlify, Firecrawl, Bolt).
Aptitude to learn new languages and technologies quickly; willingness to participate in on-call rotation and own code end-to-end.
Fluent in English; Computer Science or related degree preferred; alignment with Nerdy’s mission and apolitical company values (preferred).
