Description

  • Migrate a .NET Framework 4.8 application to .NET 10.
  • Migrate database-first Entity Framework 6 models to EF Core 8 across bounded contexts.
  • Identify and replace Windows-only libraries and assembly references to enable Linux compatibility.
  • Refactor legacy backend patterns and prepare services for containerization and AWS deployment.
  • Establish unit test coverage measurement and enforce quality gates in the migration pipeline.
  • Collaborate with DevOps on Dockerfiles, environment configuration, and secrets injection.
  • Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and document migration decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of C# and .NET backend development experience, including ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core.
  • Hands-on production experience migrating .NET Framework applications to .NET Core, .NET 8, or .NET 10.
  • Experience with Entity Framework Core and migrating Entity Framework 6 models.
  • Knowledge of DDD, CQRS, repository patterns, and layered .NET architectures.
  • Familiarity with Docker multi-stage builds and Linux container fundamentals for .NET applications.
  • Proficiency with xUnit and Moq, including container-integrated test setups.
  • Experience deploying containerized .NET applications with AWS ECS/Fargate and ECR.
  • Familiarity with MassTransit and RabbitMQ or Amazon MQ for event-driven messaging.
  • Experience with Hangfire or similar background job processing frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated code coverage thresholds, performance optimization, scalable backend systems, or Angular micro-frontends (preferred).
