Description

  • Own and continuously improve the organization’s security posture using measurable security-risk KPIs.
  • Define and evolve the information security strategy in line with business objectives and emerging threats.
  • Partner with Engineering to embed secure-by-design principles into the SDLC and platform operations.
  • Establish practical, risk-based security standards and guardrails for teams.
  • Prepare the organization for PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and other regulatory or audit requirements through scalable controls.
  • Strengthen threat detection and response through effective logging, monitoring, and alerting practices.
  • Evaluate and implement security technologies, including build-versus-buy recommendations aligned with engineering workflows.
  • Advise internal stakeholders and represent the company in security discussions with customers, partners, and auditors.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in information security or a closely related field.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience supporting software development organizations and modern application and platform operations.
  • Background in information security or security engineering, ideally in cloud-based or SaaS environments.
  • Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as PCI-DSS and SOC 2.
  • Hands-on technical experience with application architectures, APIs, identity and access management, and distributed-system vulnerabilities.
  • Experience assessing security tools that integrate with modern development workflows, including logging, monitoring, and detection capabilities.
  • Experience leading and developing small teams.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German is preferred.
  • Experience with payment-related data and security in AI-enabled environments is preferred.
