Description

  • Design end-to-end data architectures on Snowflake and/or Databricks across Azure and/or AWS.
  • Define lakehouse and data warehouse patterns, including medallion architecture, data vault, and dimensional models.
  • Lead legacy data-platform migrations to the cloud, including assessments, roadmaps, and cutover plans.
  • Set standards for data modelling, pipeline design, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and environment strategy.
  • Design data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including access control, lineage, cataloguing, GDPR, and LATAM privacy requirements.
  • Optimize cloud data platform performance and cost through sizing, cluster policies, and FinOps practices.
  • Run discovery workshops and architecture reviews with client stakeholders in English.
  • Support pre-sales through solution design, estimates, proposal content, and client presentations.
  • Mentor data engineers, review technical designs and code, and serve as the project escalation point.
  • Establish data foundations for BI, analytics, ML, and GenAI use cases.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platforms, including 3+ years as a Data or Solution Architect.
  • Hands-on production experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks, with deep expertise in at least one.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and/or AWS data services.
  • Expert SQL proficiency, solid Python or Scala skills, and experience with Spark.
  • Experience with dimensional modelling, data vault, and lakehouse design.
  • Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks Workflows.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation, and CI/CD for data platforms.
  • Experience leading at least one cloud data platform build or migration from design through production.
  • Client-facing consulting experience, including workshops, architecture presentations, and expectation management.
  • B2 or higher written and spoken English.
  • Relevant Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS certifications (preferred).
  • Experience with streaming architectures, data mesh, MLOps, GenAI data foundations, or relevant industry domains (preferred).
