Description

  • Install, configure, manage, operate, and maintain RHEL servers and clusters, including Pacemaker-based high-availability systems.
  • Provide around-the-clock operational support for OS installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, virus protection, and resource management.
  • Monitor system performance, review logs, and perform routine maintenance to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating system, hardware, and network configuration issues.
  • Implement and enforce Linux security controls, including firewalls, user permissions, and file integrity measures.
  • Support SAP, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA environments running on RHEL.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes to protect data integrity and availability.
  • Collaborate with ERP, application, database, web hosting, and development teams on support, maintenance, and deployment activities.
  • Document system configurations, technical designs, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Raise, manage, and follow up on vendor support tickets with Red Hat, including log collection and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of practical enterprise Linux system administration experience with RHEL/CentOS.
  • Proficiency with RHEL versions 7, 8, and 9.
  • Hands-on experience with RHEL clustering and Pacemaker.
  • Extensive experience supporting SAP/SAP HANA on RHEL.
  • Experience with operating system installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and patch management.
  • Experience managing user and group accounts and related policies.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SCOM and AppDynamics, and management tools such as SCCM.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7/365 shift environment.
  • Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity regulations such as NCA and NIC.
  • RHCSA or LPIC certification is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure for Linux application deployment and management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
