Description

  • Assess callers’ symptoms using evidence-based triage protocols.
  • Provide immediate care advice, including self-care and urgent care recommendations.
  • Counsel patients on medications, test results, and chronic condition management.
  • Handle behavioral health, emergency, and complex calls with empathy and sound judgment.
  • Accurately document calls in the EHR and follow compliance and HIPAA protocols.
  • Collaborate with remote nursing peers and leadership to support patient care.
  • Work assigned day, evening, night, or weekend shifts as scheduled.
  • Deliver compassionate phone-based support to veterans, service members, and their families.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent hands-on acute care RN experience.
  • ER or Med-Surg experience strongly preferred.
  • Current Compact RN license in good standing in the state where you are physically located.
  • BSN degree from an accredited American university.
  • Confidence using phone-based care workflows and multi-screen computer systems.
  • Strong clinical judgment, emotional intelligence, and documentation skills.
  • Must have a hard-wired Ethernet internet connection; Wi-Fi only, satellite, or radio internet is not acceptable.
  • Must have a quiet, distraction-free home office with a door for HIPAA compliance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust background check and drug screening.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain licenses in all 50 states.
  • Experience with behavioral health, mother-baby, or pediatrics is a plus.
  • Prior telehealth, triage, or call center nursing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with military healthcare systems or VA patients is a plus.

  • $35.00 per hour base rate.
  • Evening, night, and weekend differentials may apply.
  • 100% remote work from home.
  • Approximately 6 weeks of paid training.
  • Most schedules include Saturday and Sunday and do not rotate.
