Description

  • Design and lead the implementation of scalable backend data pipelines for high-definition map construction.
  • Define and implement engineering best practices that improve code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Drive performance optimization and scalability strategies for growing data and machine learning pipeline demands.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the team and related disciplines.
  • Work cross-functionally with diverse teams to influence technical decisions and achieve shared objectives.
  • Handle and maintain mapping datasets and support the construction of semantic maps.
  • Set the technical direction for efficient map data access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in backend development with a track record of designing and delivering production-grade systems.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with computational geometry algorithms.
  • Proven expertise in architecting and evolving RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes, including managing and optimizing production environments.
  • Experience with CI tools such as GitLab CI and source control tools such as Git.
  • Proficiency in C# or C++ is preferred.
  • Experience with Postgres is preferred.
  • Experience with big data tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Ray, or similar distributed processing technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with geospatial tools and strong knowledge of GIS principles and large-scale map data processing is preferred.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is preferred.
  • Proven technical leadership or mentorship experience, including guiding engineers and influencing technical direction, is preferred.
