Description

  • Design and implement a low-latency, highly reliable data pipeline for cloud-vehicle communication over cellular networks.
  • Lead the design and development of in-vehicle software components for monitoring, dispatch, and remote control.
  • Translate product and operational goals into concrete system architectures and technical requirements.
  • Partner with product managers, cloud engineers, and operations teams to drive system ownership and execution.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and help establish engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with test engineering and operations to define validation strategies and support field adoption.
  • Develop applications that integrate in-cabin displays, customer support communication, cabin monitoring, and interior vehicle controls.
  • Architect and build distributed applications that run on the vehicle’s edge computer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in modern C++ (11/14/17) on Linux platforms.
  • Proven experience designing and optimizing multi-threaded, asynchronous systems with strict performance and memory management requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OS primitives.
  • Experience taking complex features from concept through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment.
  • Experience building applications that interface with cloud-native services such as AWS IoT Core or Azure IoT.
  • Experience with telemetry, remote command and control, and secure over-the-air updates.
  • Preferred experience with distributed systems middleware such as DDS or gRPC and IoT protocols such as MQTT or Protobuf.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with ARM-based embedded systems and cross-compilation toolchains.
  • Preferred proficiency in Python or Golang for tooling and scripting.
  • Preferred experience leading technical projects in a globally distributed team.
