Description

  • Design, build, document, test, and maintain web-based map editors and 3D visualizations for massive datasets.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and help establish frontend best practices across the team.
  • Monitor, support, and resolve issues in production and development workflows.
  • Optimize web applications for high performance, including visualization, validation, and editing of terabytes of map data.
  • Own projects end to end and drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with Machine Learning teams to integrate automation into map annotation workflows.
  • Work with international teams of researchers and engineers to develop map solutions.
  • Contribute to integrating agentic AI capabilities into the development lifecycle.
  • Design efficient user workflows that improve operational profitability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a frontend software engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
  • Experience with UI/UX design for complex tools.
  • Ability to write clear design documents covering technical proposals, architecture decisions, and implementation details.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, including observability, concurrency, parallelization, frontend architecture, and design patterns.
  • Excellent performance optimization skills.
  • Strong communication skills for working across technical and non-technical international teams.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and learn quickly.
  • Preferred experience with geospatial data and modern mapping systems.
  • Preferred experience with 3D visualization libraries such as Three.js or DeckGL, or direct experience with WebGL and WebGPU.
