Description

  • Research federal caselaw and legal authorities using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
  • Draft federal briefs for mass tort and class action matters in active litigation.
  • Work on high-profile, news-making litigation across the country.
  • Contribute to the Complex Litigation practice group’s brief writing efforts.
  • Support cases at various stages in federal venues.
  • Collaborate within a team of brief writing attorneys on litigation matters.

Requirements

  • Exceptional legal research skills.
  • Ability to use Westlaw to locate applicable caselaw.
  • At least two legal writing samples demonstrating strong research abilities.
  • No page or word limit for writing samples.
  • Entry-level candidates should have moot court, externship, or fellowship experience.
  • Experienced candidates should have prior experience in federal litigation.
  • Experienced candidates should have prior experience as an appellate or federal law clerk.
  • Entry-level candidates must take the state bar before the start date.
  • Experienced candidates must be licensed and in good standing with a state bar.
  • Morgan & Morgan will consider office placement requests in other states for candidates with 5+ years of experience.
