Description

  • Review transaction monitoring alerts, blockchain analytics results, and KYT/wallet screening alerts to detect potential money laundering, terrorist financing, or illicit activity.
  • Analyze customer activity against expected behavior using internal systems, blockchain screening tools, and open-source research.
  • Conduct independent investigations of customers, counterparties, and transactional activity to assess risk indicators.
  • Prepare clear alert and case dispositions with well-supported conclusions for suspicious activity review.
  • Draft Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) when required for jurisdictional reporting.
  • Escalate suspicious or unusual findings to FIU and Compliance leadership for further action.
  • Ensure alerts, investigations, and reports are completed and submitted within established deadlines and SLAs.
  • Work closely with FIU, Risk, and Compliance teams across international operational jurisdictions to address AML matters promptly.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in financial crime, compliance, analytical, or investigations roles, preferably in transaction monitoring or FIU work.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic, CipherTrace, or Scorechain.
  • ACAMS, ACFCS, or ICA accreditation preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfort working independently and learning new tools and technology quickly.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced fintech or cryptocurrency company preferred.
  • Blockchain analytics certifications are a bonus.
