Description

  • Pitch and secure coverage across mainstream, tier-1, and industry media outlets.
  • Own the full press release process from drafting and review through legal approval, partner sign-off, and wire distribution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and proactively expand the media contact network.
  • Field inbound press inquiries and coordinate timely responses with internal subject-matter experts.
  • Track media coverage and compile visibility reports and metrics.
  • Write supporting communications content such as blog posts, briefing documents, talking points, and social content.
  • Assist with award nominations and industry list submissions.
  • Support executive and speaker preparation for conferences, fireside chats, and media interviews.
  • Coordinate across product, partnerships, legal, and leadership teams on messaging and announcement timing.
  • Manage PR tools, vendor platforms, and the GTM pipeline tracker while flagging conflicts and dependencies.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in journalism, communications, PR, or media relations.
  • Experience in crypto, fintech, or high-growth tech is strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to produce press releases, blog posts, briefing docs, and social content.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product, partnerships, and legal teams in a fast-paced, async-first environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and a fast-moving editorial calendar.
  • Experience with wire distribution services and PR tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, or similar platforms.
  • Background in crypto or blockchain, including understanding of stablecoins, on/off-ramps, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience coordinating with external PR agencies and international media coverage is preferred.
  • Prior agency experience at a crypto- or fintech-focused PR firm is preferred.
