Description

  • Perform threat modeling for architectural changes and new cloud and Kubernetes deployments in GCP and AWS.
  • Design, implement, and manage security controls and configurations across cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain secure Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related tools.
  • Implement and enhance cloud security monitoring in DataDog, including alerting and response procedures.
  • Implement and manage just-in-time access solutions for elevated cloud privileges.
  • Establish and lead the cloud incident management process, including incident response for cloud security events.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to embed cloud security best practices throughout the lifecycle.
  • Research emerging cloud threats and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver cloud security training and awareness programs for engineering and other teams.
  • Maintain cloud security standards, policies, documentation, and evidence for auditors, compliance, and regulators.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in cloud security with deep expertise in GCP and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of threat modeling principles and their application to cloud infrastructure and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with DataDog for security monitoring and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud security controls and configurations.
  • Experience with cloud identity and access management, including just-in-time access solutions.
  • Proven ability to establish and manage incident response programs for cloud environments.
  • Ability to explain technical security concepts, vulnerabilities, and mitigations to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting while remaining team-focused.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing skills for security processes and configurations.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Go, or similar is a plus.
  • Understanding of cryptography and its applications in cloud security is preferred.
  • Contribution to the security community through open source, conference talks, or CTFs is a plus.
  • Relevant security certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or SANS are a plus.
  • Background in FinTech, SaaS, Crypto, or other disruptive technology environments is preferred.
