Description

  • Add AI functionality to existing Node.js, Ruby, Python, React, and React Native codebases.
  • Build LLM-powered features such as chat, summaries, classification, smart search, and document Q&A.
  • Design lightweight RAG pipelines using embeddings and vector search.
  • Work with vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone, and Qdrant.
  • Implement safe and reliable LLM endpoints using providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Azure.
  • Collaborate with PMs and clients to shape realistic AI features and improve workflows.
  • Advise clients on when not to use AI and communicate trade-offs around latency, accuracy, cost, and maintainability.
  • Integrate LLM APIs into production systems and align solutions with existing architectures.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering background, with Node.js or Ruby preferred.
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs into production systems.
  • Ability to design pragmatic AI solutions within existing architectures.
  • Understanding of cost, latency, and reliability constraints of AI systems.
  • Ability to explain AI limitations to clients and guide realistic expectations.
  • Solid communication skills and a consultative mindset.
  • English level B2/C1.
  • Availability for part-time or full-time freelance B2B contract work.
  • Familiarity with modern AI tooling such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Vercel AI SDK.
  • Machine learning research or data science background is not required.
