Description

  • Support high-impact analytics initiatives from problem framing through delivery, including quantifying value and communicating recommendations.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify analytics opportunities and deliver actionable insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to partners and leadership in clear, compelling formats.
  • Develop analytics products and solutions using Databricks, modern BI tools, and Agile principles.
  • Implement advanced analytics using Python for automation, integration, and advanced analysis workflows.
  • Architect and publish trusted Power BI datasets and dashboards, including semantic models, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Build performant Databricks workflows to wrangle large datasets, engineer features, and automate recurring analyses.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to design scalable data solutions.
  • Own analysis quality through data validation, experiment design, sensitivity checks, and reproducibility practices.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and create improvement recommendations based on scorecards and operational reporting.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance and Compliance to ensure appropriate PHI use and adherence to privacy and security controls.
  • Facilitate data stewardship and literacy across the business and drive adoption of data products.
  • Stay current with emerging analytics methodologies, technologies, and capabilities and apply them for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4-8+ years of experience in analytics roles, including 3+ years leading projects.
  • Proven experience delivering analytics in complex, multi-source, ambiguous environments with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience operating in healthcare data environments, or the demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to such contexts.
  • Strong statistical and financial analytics expertise, including study design, analysis techniques, and business case development.
  • Experience with the Azure data stack, including Data Factory, ADLS, and Synapse/Fabric pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency with Databricks, including Spark/SQL, notebooks, jobs, performance tuning, and SQL Warehouses.
  • Strong SQL skills, including ANSI/T-SQL and query optimization over large, partitioned tables.
  • Applied R experience using tidyverse/ggplot2, reproducible workflows, and statistical testing and modeling fundamentals.
  • Python experience for data wrangling, automation, and integration with Databricks and Azure services.
  • Experience with Fabric and Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, calculation groups, row-level security, and deployment pipelines.
  • Git-based versioning and reproducibility experience, including disciplined documentation and peer review.
  • Ability to distill complex analyses into clear executive narratives and recommended actions.
  • Strong stakeholder partnership skills, including influencing cross-functional partners, setting expectations, and driving alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects with undefined, large, or complex scope in an Agile environment.
  • Product mindset with the ability to define problem statements, success metrics, iterate with feedback, and drive adoption.
  • Ability to operate independently, make sound trade-offs, and uphold high quality standards.
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in Databricks, Power BI, or cloud platforms are preferred, with Azure preferred.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and MLOps practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and compliance standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced BI features such as Power BI Copilot and AI-driven analytics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, groupers, and policies is preferred.
  • Product management training or analytics product delivery experience is preferred.
  • Applicants must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future to work in the United States.
  • Remote hires must travel to headquarters in Ankeny, IA on the first day for company-paid orientation.
