Description

  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the internal FinCrime and fraud detection platform.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of technical products from initial concept through first release and subsequent iterations.
  • Identify talent needs and lead the hiring process to build a specialized financial crime prevention team.
  • Design systems that detect and eliminate bad actors while reducing fraud risk and preserving user experience.
  • Partner with engineering, data science, and legal teams to ensure technical fit and regulatory alignment.
  • Set delivery strategy and help scale a high-performing product team.
  • Identify systemic inefficiencies in the financial crime industry and build improved solutions from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building products that prevent and detect financial crime and fraud in a 1st Line of Defence role.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or fintech environment.
  • 2+ years of experience working on complex technical products such as distributed systems, data science, machine learning, or platform infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and launching products from inception through market delivery.
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory environments and key financial crime regimes is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency compliance and blockchain forensics tools such as Chainalysis or Elliptic is preferred.
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to extract insights from large datasets to inform product decisions.
  • Professional qualification from an internationally recognized body such as ACAMS or ICA is a significant plus.
  • Previous neobanking experience is required.
