Description

  • Design and evaluate rule application scenarios against specific U.S. regulations and cite the exact applicable or violated subsection.
  • Write OFAC and sanctions alert disposition cases with structured false-positive reasoning and escalation documentation.
  • Build quarterly compliance testing scenarios, including sample selection methodology, test design, findings documentation, and examiner-ready conclusion memos.
  • Create Regulation E dispute eligibility cases applying timing windows, liability tiers, and provisional credit obligations to fact patterns.
  • Draft examiner request response scenarios that test completeness, formatting precision, and cover memo quality.
  • Develop policy gap identification cases where internal bank policies are silent, contradictory, or outdated relative to regulatory requirements.
  • Design material-change impact analysis cases that identify affected policies, disclosures, training modules, and systems after a regulatory update.
  • Author audit finding remediation tracking scenarios using pattern recognition across findings registers and remediation dates.
  • Document all test cases with verified CFR citations and avoid approximating or fabricating references.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on U.S. consumer banking compliance experience at a bank, consulting firm, or regulatory agency.
  • Degree in Finance, Law, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • CRCM or CAMS certification is a strong positive signal.
  • Former OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, or CFPB examiner experience is a strong positive signal.
  • JD with banking-regulatory practice is a strong positive signal for citation-heavy tasks.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. consumer protection regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation E, Regulation B, UDAAP, and related rules.
  • Familiarity with OFAC sanctions screening disposition logic, escalation criteria, and documentation requirements.
  • Experience with examination management, including responding to examiner requests, tracking remediation, or conducting compliance testing with attestation memos.
  • Ability to read internal policies against underlying regulations and identify omissions, contradictions, and outdated provisions.
  • Strong written English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
