Description

  • Design mathematics problems that challenge a frontier AI model and require verification by code.
  • Choose an anchor tool and create a task that genuinely depends on using that specialized package.
  • Write a Python reference solution and provide input files when needed.
  • Determine the correct numerical answer and define the acceptable answer tolerance.
  • Test and calibrate tasks across batches of parallel model attempts until the success rate falls in the 10-30% range.
  • Revise and tighten problems based on model behavior to improve task quality and difficulty calibration.
  • Submit tasks for senior review and incorporate feedback from reviewers in the relevant subfield.
  • Work within project-based, non-permanent AI opportunities on a part-time basis.

Requirements

  • Please submit your CV in English and indicate your level of English proficiency.
  • Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or a related field.
  • 2+ years of research, applied, or teaching experience.
  • Python proficiency for writing reference solutions.
  • Fluency with, or strong willingness to independently learn, at least one scriptable mathematical package such as Z3, cvc5, Macaulay2, Singular, CasADi, IPOPT, SDPB, G6K, fpylll, or SageMath.
  • Ability to design problems that genuinely require a specialized solver.
  • Strong written English at C1+ level.
  • Open to part-time, non-permanent project work.
  • Willingness to learn independently if you do not already have prior experience with the listed tools.
