Description

Design original computational mathematics problems that simulate real mathematical research workflows.
Create problems that require Python programming to solve using libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy.
Develop computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
Build problems requiring non-trivial reasoning in areas such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
Base problem ideas on real research challenges or practical applications from mathematical practice.
Verify solutions using Python and standard mathematical libraries.
Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Work on project-based tasks during active project periods, typically around 10–20 hours per week.

Requirements

Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or a related field.
Python proficiency for numerical validation.
Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or another programming language is considered equivalent.
2+ years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience.
Experience with numerical methods and symbolic computation.
Ability to design problems that mirror real mathematical research workflows.
Familiarity with computational complexity theory.
Strong written English at C1+ level.
Willingness to participate in part-time, non-permanent, project-based work.
CV must be submitted in English, along with an indication of English proficiency.
