Description

  • Design original computational chemistry problems that simulate real research workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve, using libraries such as numpy, scipy, and domain-specific chemistry packages.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes (days/weeks).
  • Develop problems that require non-trivial reasoning chains in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.
  • Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications from chemistry practice.
  • Verify solutions programmatically using Python and standard computational chemistry approaches.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
  • Participate in the platform’s apply → qualification → project → task → payment workflow and meet project deadlines and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Python proficiency for numerical validation (numpy, scipy and chemistry libraries preferred); equivalent proficiency in MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Stata or other programming languages is acceptable.
  • 2+ years of professional experience (applied, research, or teaching experience is applicable).
  • Experience with numerical methods in chemistry.
  • Familiarity with computational chemistry concepts and methods (physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, molecular modeling).
  • Strong written English (C1+) and ability to submit CV in English while indicating English proficiency level.
  • Availability for approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases of the project (estimate, not guaranteed).
  • Willingness to participate in a project-based, non-permanent engagement and to pass required qualification(s).
