Description

  • Lead assessment, planning, design, implementation, and optimization for client workload migrations to AWS.
  • Provide proactive monitoring, management, and support for client cloud environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure AWS cloud architectures aligned with best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions and promote automation and DevOps practices.
  • Build trusted client relationships and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cloud environments, operational efficiency, and overall service delivery.
  • Design and implement security controls for network security, identity and access management, encryption, data protection, and compliance.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex cloud incidents, identify root causes, and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in an after-hours rotational on-call schedule to respond to critical issues.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and migration approaches.

Requirements

  • AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Proven expertise in cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Scripting experience in Python or another relevant language.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work in a highly collaborative, self-organizing team environment.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent certification is highly desired.
  • Ability to work in a desk-based role with prolonged computer use and occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
