Description

  • Draft, review, structure, and negotiate M&A agreements.
  • Conduct legal M&A due diligence and support firm-wide due diligence efforts.
  • Collaborate with business partners across the organization.
  • Assist with and oversee outside counsel.
  • Research and advise on relevant legal issues.
  • Monitor new laws and regulatory developments.
  • Manage assigned projects and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Admission to practice law in at least one state; Colorado licensure preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Required experience with mergers and acquisitions law.
  • Financial services experience preferred.
  • Strong drafting, legal research, and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Availability for daytime and evening hours as needed.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $145,000–$155,000, plus eligibility for incentive compensation.
  • Remote work arrangement, with Denver preferred; office attendance may be required based on team needs.
