Description

  • Perform discovery with customers to assess their existing SAS environments and determine migration feasibility.
  • Analyze SAS programs and work with product development and data science teams to estimate custom development effort and duration.
  • Review current SAS infrastructure, define target requirements, and prepare recommended target architectures.
  • Identify unsupported language elements and software modules and develop a route to live for customer migration.
  • Represent Siemens RapidMiner SLC in customer stand-ups, project reviews, and other customer-facing meetings.
  • Deploy and configure SLC software in customer environments.
  • Configure required third-party applications, drivers, and databases for SLC implementations.
  • Train customer system administrators and migration teams on SLC use and code migration best practices.
  • Triage technical issues, coordinate with L2 support, and work with product management and engineering on defects and maintenance builds.
  • Travel to client locations on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with SAS programming and platform administration.
  • Extensive experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, DI Studio, Metadata Server, GRID, Studio, Object Spawner, Workspace servers, and Stored Process servers.
  • Experience with SASWORK, user and security administration, configuration and environment management, license and hotfix management, backup and recovery.
  • Strong enterprise software deployment knowledge, including Windows Server and RHEL 8+ configuration.
  • Experience with database configuration and connectivity, firewall setup, and networking.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data processing, database systems, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of SQL and other business analytics tools and languages.
  • Familiarity with SLC-supported platforms including Linux, AIX, MacOS, and Solaris.
  • Strong documentation, presentation, debugging, and written/spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise across engineering, database, support, cloud, testing, QA, and documentation teams.
  • Preferred experience with R and Python.
  • Preferred experience setting up and administering Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Preferred knowledge of SAS on Mainframe z/OS and zLinux.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
