Description

Serve as a technical subject matter expert for the Megaport platform and represent it internally and externally.
Develop technical specifications and go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
Work with the Technology leadership team on product strategy and prioritization.
Maintain regular contact with customers and partners to support market positioning and gather input.
Define success criteria and track whether new product development delivers value for the business and its customers.
Monitor the competitive landscape and create sales playbooks for the commercial team.
Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.
Operate in a heavily customer-facing role that keeps the customer base’s needs and value delivery at the center of product decisions.

Requirements

Experience with current data networking products and technologies, including Ethernet networking, IP, BGP routing, peering, firewalls, and NAT.
Knowledge of API development and extending the API into the platform and product.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across peers and senior leaders.
Ability to engage and influence others to gather requirements, explain work, solve problems, and drive productive outcomes.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes and work independently as well as part of a team.
Self-starter who can handle ambiguity, navigate uncertainty, identify risks, and find the right people and tools to get the job done.
A first-hand working knowledge of networking technologies is advantageous.
Experience with product strategy, technical product development, and go-to-market work is implied by the role scope.
