Description

  • Author, maintain, and version enterprise taxonomies, business term definitions, and master data hierarchies.
  • Translate governance strategies into structured, testable data quality rules and maintain consistent rule IDs across taxonomies.
  • Run rule-library analysis to identify duplicates, conflicts, and coverage gaps.
  • Maintain metadata, documentation, and change history for governed artifacts.
  • Support intake and triage of new rule and definition requests from Data Operations and business stakeholders.
  • Prepare reference data and golden-record candidates for governance certification and flag anomalies or exceptions.
  • Create documentation and quick-reference guides for stewards and analysts.
  • Assist with governance reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder updates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, or Data Architecture.
  • Proven experience building data governance foundations, taxonomies, and MDM frameworks from the ground up.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, business glossaries, or rule libraries.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data, spreadsheets, and governance tooling.
  • Ability to translate governance decisions into precise, consistent, testable rules.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving standards in a maturing governance environment.
  • Familiarity with data quality dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Exposure to DAMA/DMBOK concepts is a plus.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
