Description

  • Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize SQL Server environments hosted on Azure.
  • Administer and support a large fleet of production SQL Server instances.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database and application performance issues.
  • Perform database upgrades, patching, backups, restores, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Support data extracts, data scrubbing, and other maintenance tasks.
  • Deploy and configure customer environments and application components.
  • Partner with Engineering and Support teams to resolve advanced issues in Windows, IIS, and SQL Server environments.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve scalability, performance, and operational efficiency while reducing manual work.
  • Use AI-driven and advanced analytics tools to improve database development, issue detection, monitoring, and performance.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and mentor for support team members.
  • Track, document, and proactively manage customer issues using ticketing systems.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and own outcomes end to end.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Windows Server 2019+ administration experience.
  • 5+ years of SQL Server 2019+ administration and database design experience.
  • 5+ years of T-SQL development experience, including stored procedures and database design.
  • 5+ years of SQL Server performance tuning and optimization experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting and optimizing SQL Server 2019 clusters on Azure VMs.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting web applications in an n-tier architecture.
  • Experience supporting production systems in Azure-hosted environments.
  • Experience with APM tools such as Azure Monitor, Datadog, or New Relic.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, ARM, or Terraform, preferred.
  • Experience working with APIs and application integrations, preferred.
  • Healthcare or HIPAA-regulated environment experience, preferred.
  • Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles, preferred.

  • Pay range of $136,000 to $190,400.
