Description

  • Drive and manage the review process for customer marketing content and campaigns to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including UDAP/UDAAP and FTC advertising rules.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Marketing, and other teams to secure approvals and incorporate feedback.
  • Provide compliance advisory support to Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and other departments across product and campaign lifecycles.
  • Apply knowledge of consumer finance regulations, industry standards, and internal policies across the US and Canada.
  • Monitor external industry trends and the regulatory environment to help shape the company’s compliance strategy.
  • Assist with regulatory responses and other compliance advisory duties as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of compliance risks tied to client-specific product constructs.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Banking partners and Marqeta customers.
  • Manage a small team of resources.
  • Support audits, examinations, and bank partnership-related compliance activities as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance in banking, financial services, or fintech.
  • Proven experience with consumer protection regulations such as UDAP/UDAAP, Reg Z, Reg E, Reg B, and related advertising standards.
  • Proven experience with Banking as a Service in a regulated bank, Program Manager, or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bank and/or payments financial ecosystems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands logically.
  • Ability to manage a small team of resources.
  • Experience supporting bank partnerships, audits, and examinations is preferred.
  • Experience with collateral review systems/tools such as Blee, Workfront, or Red Oak is preferred.
  • CRCM designation or a similar compliance certification is preferred.
