Description

  • Serve as the financial partner to Sales on live credit deals, modeling full deal economics including interchange, finance charges, fees, rewards costs, cost of funds, expected losses, and network fees.
  • Build deal-level models that capture life-of-portfolio economics and how performance changes as portfolios mature over time.
  • Partner with Credit Risk and Capital Markets to incorporate realistic loss assumptions, funding costs, and capital efficiency into deal models.
  • Develop foundational credit product models, including monthly projections of volumes, receivables, payment rates, and loss curves.
  • Create scenario analyses and economic narratives to support new bank partnerships and capital provider discussions.
  • Model multi-party revenue share structures across program managers, sponsor banks, processors, and networks, and stress-test them across volume and performance tiers.
  • Lead deal review meetings with sales leadership and translate complex credit economics into clear recommendations.
  • Build and refine the credit-specific deal desk toolkit, including pricing benchmarks, loss-curve templates, capital-cost calculators, vintage performance models, and dashboards.
  • Help Sales communicate credit economics credibly to prospects across different levels of sophistication.
  • Stay current on credit product changes, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics, and bring that context into deal work.
  • Collaborate with the broader deal desk team across debit, prepaid, and other product lines as needed.
  • Experiment with AI to automate and improve portfolio projection models, scenario analysis, and internal tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Math, or a related discipline.
  • 6-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, deal desk, pricing, credit product finance, or related GTM finance roles.
  • Meaningful exposure to credit card or lending economics.
  • Understanding of credit economics, including interchange, finance charges, rewards funding, loss provisioning, and cost of funds.
  • Comfort with vintage curves, charge-off rates, revolve behavior, and credit portfolio performance concepts.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Sales, Credit Risk, and Capital Markets teams.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and comfort working with ambiguity in the numbers.
  • Knowledge of credit risk modeling and capital markets concepts sufficient to be a credible partner.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a bias toward improving processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with Google Workspace.
  • Direct experience pricing or modeling credit card programs, especially on the issuer side, is preferred.
  • Experience at a credit card issuer, fintech with a credit product, BIN sponsor bank, or program manager is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BIN sponsorship economics and direct bank partnership structures is preferred.
  • Experience building models for sponsor banks, capital providers, or warehouse lenders, including portfolio projections, return-on-capital analyses, and scenario modeling, is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of credit risk modeling concepts such as expected loss, vintage analysis, and behavioral scoring is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of capital markets concepts such as warehouse facilities, securitization, and cost of funds is preferred.
  • Familiarity with credit card regulatory frameworks such as Reg Z, CFPB requirements, and state usury considerations is preferred.
  • SQL or data analytics experience, especially Snowflake, is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-enabled workflows or tools, such as custom GPTs, agents, automations, or prompt engineering for finance use cases, is preferred.
