Description

  • Design, build, and maintain analytical pipelines and reporting solutions on BigQuery and MariaDB.
  • Write sophisticated, performant SQL to extract insights from large-scale datasets.
  • Develop internal tooling and automation using Python, FastAPI, and modern frameworks.
  • Use AI-powered development tools and AI/ML capabilities to accelerate analytics workflows and improve outputs.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate data into action.
  • Document data architecture, lineage, and how information flows across systems.
  • Collaborate on business process analysis and process design improvements driven by data.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for deeper analysis, better tooling, and operational improvements.
  • Own work end-to-end, from defining questions to building infrastructure, delivering analysis, and presenting results.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Expert-level SQL with strong command of joins, window functions, and CTEs.
  • Experience with BigQuery and MariaDB is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Python and/or JavaScript skills for building pipelines, internal tools, APIs, and automation.
  • Experience building data-facing web applications and internal dashboards with JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, including database structure, data flow, and schema evolution.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML, including LLMs, generative AI, and embeddings.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered development tools such as Windsurf, Gemini, Claude, or Cursor.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis clearly.
  • Self-sufficient, self-managing, and able to own work end-to-end.
  • Ambitious and continuously improving, with a habit of learning new skills, tools, and techniques independently.
  • A public GitHub profile with examples of personal projects, contributions, or experiments.
  • FastAPI experience for building internal APIs and services is a plus.
  • Background in business process design or operational analytics is a plus.
  • Exposure to multiple business functions such as Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, or Engineering is a plus.
  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
