Description

  • Manage client taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. tax laws, including timely tax filings and payments.
  • Lead tax planning and advisory engagements to reduce client tax liability and support long-term financial goals.
  • Develop new client opportunities through proposals, pitches, client meetings, and collaboration with sales and business development teams.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation using QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to recommend performance and operational improvements.
  • Lead client onboarding and deliver high-quality service to support client acquisition and retention.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate across departments on financial strategy.
  • Support audits, prepare year-end audit schedules, document and test financial processes, and help automate accounting workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential.
  • 5+ years of accounting and tax experience, with a strong focus on tax planning and advisory.
  • Experience advising clients on tax strategy beyond compliance and tax preparation preferred.
  • Experience or strong interest in client acquisition and business development, including originating engagements, proposals, pitches, or relationship growth.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and referral partners.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • International tax knowledge preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client presentation ability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks or similar accounting software, and UltraTax or other tax preparation software.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented team player with a growth-oriented mindset; openness to relocating to the Marietta office is a plus.
