Description

  • Champion a quality-first approach within the agile development team.
  • Review new features during refinement to clarify requirements and system architecture.
  • Question assumptions, uncover edge cases, and define an initial test strategy.
  • Formalize test plans covering scenarios, integration points, test data, and verification steps.
  • Deploy and configure updates in the QA environment.
  • Execute test cases, investigate bugs, and log clear reproduction steps.
  • Verify complete solutions and sign off for production releases.
  • Drive automation for new and existing features and maintain test suites.
  • Work with the QE Lead as the team’s automation expert.
  • Advocate for quality across the team and beyond your immediate team boundary.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a QA tester in an Agile software development environment.
  • Proven experience developing test strategies and writing test cases.
  • Extensive experience testing back-end systems through REST, SQS, databases, and front-end interfaces.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational database tools such as DBeaver, SQL Server, or MySQL Workbench.
  • Experience seeding databases with test data is a plus.
  • Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; familiarity with AWS services like EKS, RDS, SQS, and API Gateway is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with API tools such as Swagger, Bruno, and Postman.
  • Experience writing and updating JavaScript scripts.
  • Knowledge of configuring mocks for isolated service testing is a big plus.
  • Strong exploratory testing skills with attention to bugs and user experience issues.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to trace and report bugs clearly.
