Description

  • Define the AI strategy for engineering development workflows and embedded agent use across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Architect autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agent cycles for code generation, hardware simulation, automated testing, and documentation.
  • Identify and re-engineer high-impact engineering bottlenecks with AI-driven workflow optimization.
  • Establish data-driven ROI and performance measurement frameworks for AI initiatives.
  • Design and implement automated guardrails in CI/CD to ensure safety, security, and quality of AI-generated output.
  • Create governance frameworks for agent behavior, including human-in-the-loop checkpoints, audit logs, and access controls.
  • Build benchmarking systems to evaluate model reliability, cost-effectiveness, and overall stack performance.
  • Design end-to-end multi-agent infrastructure, including orchestration layers, vector databases for long-term memory, and tool-use capabilities.
  • Decide when to use third-party AI platforms versus building proprietary agentic tools for engineering needs.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering or ML infrastructure.
  • Proven experience moving AI beyond chatbots into functional, automated workflows.
  • Experience building autonomous systems using the Gemini and Anthropic SDKs via Vertex AI.
  • Expert-level proficiency with MCP (Model Context Protocol), multi-agent orchestration, and complex state management in high-scale production environments.
  • Ability to connect technical execution to business value and present ROI cases to executive leadership.
  • Strong security and compliance mindset focused on data privacy and preventing model hallucinations in mission-critical engineering tasks.
  • Experience designing safe-by-design systems.
  • Experience with agentic design patterns and production AI infrastructure (preferred).

  • $227,500 - $280,000 annual base salary.
