Description

  • Conduct civil and criminal background checks on individuals and companies being investigated.
  • Use investigative tools, databases, software, and court websites to research and analyze information.
  • Verify individuals’ identities through desktop-based investigative methods.
  • Identify all relevant jurisdictions where records should be searched.
  • Obtain driving records, court records, and open-source data for subjects of investigation.
  • Interact with court staff to request and obtain documents.
  • Support a variety of investigative case types as part of the legal support team.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience conducting civil and/or criminal background checks.
  • Experience in law enforcement, law firms, court systems, or as a skip tracer.
  • A college degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Psychology, or Communications is strongly preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, with daily interaction required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a persistent, investigative mindset.
  • Ability to work remotely and perform primarily desktop-based investigations.

Benefits

  • Remote full-time position.
  • Hourly compensation of $27.00 to $33.00 per hour.
  • Pay within the range may reflect factors such as experience, qualifications, location, and performance.
