Description

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of infrastructure for a large-scale VMware-to-AWS migration project.
  • Architect and build secure, scalable, highly available AWS environments, including Landing Zones aligned with AWS best practices.
  • Design and implement containerized platforms using Amazon EKS, with exposure to ECS where needed.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Define and enforce practices for security, backups, high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and operations.
  • Enable configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or similar.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines across the full build and release lifecycle for customer applications.
  • Drive automation across provisioning, deployment, and operational workflows.
  • Modernize legacy infrastructure and support cloud-native architecture adoption.
  • Enhance and maintain DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git repositories, monitoring, and observability stacks.
  • Provide L3 support for complex infrastructure and platform issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on technical strategy, long-term architecture, and team development.
  • Mentor engineers and support talent evaluation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with strong cloud infrastructure design and management expertise.
  • Experience with VMware-to-AWS migrations or other large-scale infrastructure migration projects.
  • 4+ years of experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
  • 4+ years of experience in configuration management, systems engineering, and production infrastructure management.
  • Solid Linux and/or Windows administration background.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, Backup, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, and Docker in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing high availability, disaster recovery, security, and backup strategies.
  • Experience with Landing Zone setup, multi-account strategy, and AWS governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Git, including branching and merging strategies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and operational tooling.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset focused on reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Experience across multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is preferred.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional are preferred.
  • Exposure to data platforms such as Amazon EMR, Redshift, Lake Formation, and SageMaker is preferred.
  • Experience designing cloud architectures at an L3 or architect level is preferred.
