Description

  • Build automation tools that help customers receive resources quickly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver a high-quality product that meets customer needs.
  • Maintain at least 99.9% uptime across managed customer environments.
  • Automate parts of the cloud infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
  • Create new monitors, alerts, and internal/external tooling.
  • Own and improve the company-wide cloud-first customer onboarding process.
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced Agile environment with international development teams.
  • Uphold Lucidworks’ core values, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a consistent shift schedule, including weekend coverage and on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional DevOps experience at a PaaS or SaaS company.
  • 2+ years of Kubernetes experience, with containerization and orchestration knowledge; Istio, kops, or Helm experience is a plus.
  • Experience operating JVM-based applications at scale, including garbage collection analysis and heap tuning.
  • Experience managing large-scale distributed systems with hundreds to thousands of instances across multiple cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with SaaS infrastructure and the SaaS deployment model.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as the first line of defense for customers.
  • Availability to work any 8-hour shift within 9:30 AM–9:30 PM, including weekends.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule, including a 1:00 PM–9:30 PM shift and at least one weekend day per week.
  • Acceptable background check.
