Description

  • Manage and enhance application security testing tools, integrations, and internal automation.
  • Validate discovered vulnerabilities through code review and manual or semi-automatic testing tools such as Burp.
  • Validate external penetration test results and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform application and infrastructure penetration tests for web and mobile applications.
  • Work with engineering and security teams to produce actionable security findings, mitigations, and remediation status.
  • Stay current on security testing tools, techniques, vulnerabilities, standards, systems, and protocols.
  • Produce high-level and detailed reports and metrics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Help create and update application security procedures, policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members and broader engineering and security teams.

Requirements

  • Understanding of software security architecture and design.
  • Broad experience in information security and application security testing techniques.
  • Practical experience in an application security role with manual testing.
  • Solid understanding of cloud environments, especially GCP, as well as web protocols, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities.
  • Working knowledge of current IT risks and experience with testing, exploitation, and mitigation techniques.
  • Working knowledge or experience with Shell, Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience developing automation and exploitation scripts.
  • Experience or strong interest in penetration testing, including cloud-deployed applications.
  • Ability to communicate security vulnerabilities to a broad cross-section of personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly curious and committed to continuous learning.
