Description

  • Manage and enhance application security tools, integrations, and in-house automation for SDLC-integrated testing.
  • Validate discovered vulnerabilities through code review and manual or semi-automated tooling such as Burp.
  • Validate external penetration test results and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform penetration testing on web and mobile applications, including application and infrastructure assessments.
  • Work with engineering and security teams to produce actionable reporting, explain security issues, and recommend mitigations.
  • Track whether security issues have been remediated and determine when vulnerabilities are effectively closed.
  • Stay current on the latest security testing tools, techniques, standards, systems, and protocols.
  • Create and update application security procedures, policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Train, coach, and mentor other team members and broader engineering and security teams.
  • Produce high-level and detailed reports and metrics to support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

  • Understanding of software security architecture and design.
  • Broad experience with information security and application security testing techniques.
  • Practical experience in an application security role with manual testing.
  • Solid understanding of cloud environments, especially GCP, as well as web protocols, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Shell, Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience developing automation and exploitation scripts.
  • Experience or strong interest in penetration testing, including cloud-deployed applications.
  • Good working knowledge of current IT risks and testing, exploitation, and mitigation techniques.
  • Ability to communicate security vulnerabilities to a broad cross-section of personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
